Aji Gelap Ngampar

The following mantra can be chanted at times when one get caught up in a physical fight, but also when one is facing a mental battle of desire:

Ingsun amatak ajiku si Gelap Ngampar,
gebyar-gebyar ana ing dadaku,
ula lanang guluku,
macan galak ana raiku,
surya kembar ana netraku,
durga deg lak ana pupuku,
gelap ngampar ana pangucapku,
gelap sewu ana suwaraku,
ah aku si gelap sewu.

One should do fasting for forty days. Immediately after one has completed the forty days of fasting, one should practice nglowong for seven days and seven nights, starting from the day of Setu Kliwon. This powerful aji will shed light upon the dark mind (of oneself, or that of others nearby oneself), thereby erradicating the mental defilements.
